Meet Sara

I grew up in a small, northern Michigan town with my parents and two older brothers. As a little girl, I loved to play school, make art and crafts, climb monkey bars, roller-skate and spend time at my grandparents' cottage. Eventually, I studied at Eastern Michigan University, where I earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. For twelve years I served as an elementary school teacher. I loved "playing school" again. My students and I danced, made crafts, and played games, all while learning reading, writing, and arithmetic.

It was a joy to laugh and sing and learn together. Though I decided to leave the classroom in 2012, I have not left teaching and learning. In fact, my passion for learning and teaching others has accelerated. It is my sincere desire to inspire and educate in many ways.

Over the past few years, I have continued to:

- pursue my passion for travel, including visits to South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

Local children performed a traditional dance for guests at Turtle Beach Lodge in Tortuguero, Costa Rica.

- develop my Energy Healing practice as a Certified Energy Healer. I meet with clients, lead guided mediation classes,
and am in the process of becoming a Trainer for other healers.

Holistic Care Approach, Grand Rapids, MI

- Facilitate Vision Board workshops across Michigan to assist others with pursuing their dreams.

I have taught my Vision Board Workshops all across Michigan, including:

- Blue Phoenix Bookstore, Alpena, MI
- Holistic Care Approach, Grand Rapids, MI
- Open Mind, Rockford, MI
- Balance Mind Body Therapies, Plymouth, MI

and
- Immerse myself in music, including learning the piano and drums. more....

I play mostly blues, but also some jazz, rock and funk.
This is at a blues jam at the DeeLite restaurant in Grand Haven, MI.

Additionally, I have learned how to speak a little bit of Spanish, throw pots on the potter's wheel, ride a horse, and create
a house- & pet-sitting service.

Trail-riding at Simpsarosa Stables in Grand Junction, MI
this fall was simply lovely! It is a Pure Michigan thing to do!

- My next goals are to travel to the Pacific Northwest of the US, learn how to paint, and write and publish a book!

I was thrilled to meet Patricia Polacco, award-winning children's book author and illustrator, at a local book signing event. My favorite book of hers is Thank You, Mr. Falker.
